Dubai?

My sister and I are planning on a spring break and it seems we have decided on Dubai. I have actually  never been there so it seems to be about time to visit....since we only have a couple of days we are choosing between Egypt, Sicily, Kap Verde or Dubai.....hmmm

Spring is coming!

One can definately feel the spring in the air today! Can´t wait to feel the sun on my face again, and better, put away the winter shoes and jacket....

Decided to go on holiday with my little sister on the 25th of March :)
Since she is a school teacher she has one week off from work during easter so we will book ourselves a suntrip! Still, we can only be away for one week and it is not that hot in Europe in the beginning of April so our choices are limited.....

11 down, 18 to go!

Been working hard all weekend and sold 11 apartments already. Kind of impressed by myself actually! I so deserve a holiday and will book myself a trip as soon as this is a done deal.

Lovely Lana Del Rey

Got this tune in my brain and can´t seem to (neither do I wish to) get rid of it!

Update on the new project!

OK! Started selling the apartments today and already booked 6 today :) YAY! ...Still, nothing is clear until the contracts are signed and we have the first 2 meeting scheduled tomorrow.

It´s been a great day with lots of action and now I deserve to go home and treat myself to a lovely glass of red wine.

Hard work but no money!

Another 14-hour work day completed.....2 sellers agree to lower the asking price on their houses, says it all really.....Apartments are still selling like hot cakes and luckily we have the new development project (all apartments) to rely on.

Lazy Sunday

Had to swing by the office yesterday to get some things regarding the new development project sorted. We are getting so much good publicity which is just great! For the rest of the Saturday I was more or less situated in front of the telly and watching "Melodifestivalen" (the annual competition to determine the representative for the Eurovision song contest) Surprisingly favourite Janet Leon did not make it to either the final nor the "second chance"....Guessing the responce from her label and managers will be " We told you to lose those extra pounds..."

well well, although I today should have joined Janet and gone to the gym I stayed home and had a long and cozy nap on my sofa.....such a lazy Sunday!

The Swedish reference interest rate stays put

The Swedish central bank´s rate - Repo rate, remains on 1 %, to the surprise of the public who was expecting a further reduction. As a result the Krona appreciated and journalists are warning for rising mortgage rates. The general public in Sweden have gotten far too accustomed to the low interest rate and keep borrowing. It seems that the population between the ages 19-45 are completely uneducated regarding the crisis in the 90s and to me it seems they belive that the interest rate will stay put at these low levels forever. It does not seem to strike them that the interest is close to 0 % and that 0% is the end station. Hence....we can only go up from here.....

And while we are at it....

The stoning scene from the Monty Python movie  "Life of Brian" ...enjoy ;)

Back on track!

Had a coffee and woke up....don´t know what came over me but now I`ve got a grin on my face that I can´t seem to wipe off. But, on the bright side, it beats a grumpy face!

In need of a holiday.....

I really did not want to get out of bed this morning...don´t feel like working at all. Luckily the days are getting lighter and soon spring will be here. An hopefully I will manage to go on holiday for easter, if only a couple of days. Was supposed to go next week but can´t due to the new project. I miss Mexico.....

Fat Tuesday

Lucky me!  It is "Fat Tuesday" today so I will treat myself to one (or two) semlor!!!!

(Fettisdagen (Fat Tuesday) is the Swedish name for the Tuesday after the Quinquagesima and the day between Shrove Monday and Ash Wednesday. Because it is the last day before the Lenten fast, a tradition has developed of eating buns, called "fastlagsbullar", "fettisdagsbullar" (Fat Tuesday Buns) or "semla". The day is also called "White Tuesday" because the buns are made out of white flour.
The day is called "Mardi Gras" in France, "laskiainen" in Finland, "Carnaval" in the Netherlands, and "Fastelavn" in Denmark. In the UK it is known as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day.)

Drop Dead Tired

Feeling a bit guilty from not having posted anything lately, but I have just been so busy.....

So I thought I´d just write a quick post letting you know that I did not sign for the expensive flat. And it feels completely right! Look forward to moving in to my "rat hole" across the street, which I promised you to post pictures on and will do so!

Now I am off to sleep, as I am already in bed, drop dead tired!

Friday 1 February 2013

Time to decide!

Monday I have a scheduled meeting to sign the contract for the expensive apartment that is to be built across the street from where I have already purchased one. What am I going to do? Take my own advice of the market being over-valued and let this train pass? Or buy a 4-room apartment in the most expensive project ever in this middle size Swedish town? Help!!!
